The Tax Planning Institute, LLC was launched over five years ago with one goal in mind; to offer a diverse collection of professional continuing education programs in self-study and seminar format.  Damon L. Mayer started the business in addition to his already successful tax practice and financial planning firm, Mayer Financial Group.  Damon has been preparing taxes for over fifteen years and been active in many areas of the financial and tax industries.  Over the years, his firms have offered fee only financial planning, asset management, investment brokerage services, insurance planning, mortgage services, and tax planning & preparation.  

Currently, his firm offers full service tax preparation and tax planning, business consulting services, estate planning, financial planning, social security disability consulting and advocacy services. Business and estate mediation and debt arbitration services are also available. 

His main area of practice is business consulting; which includes startups, reorganizations, liquidations and everything in between.  He also consults on estate administration and fiduciary issues as well as advises individuals on successfully applying for Social Security disability benefits.   

Since launching the tax institute, Damon has written over thirty self study tax courses and forty five insurance courses.   Over the last nine years he has acquired the following professional licenses and designations:  LTC - Licensed Tax Consultant, CFP - Certified Financial Planner,  ATA - Accredited Tax Advisor,  ATP - Accredited Tax Preparer,  AAMS  -  Accredited Asset Management Specialist,  CRPS  -  Chartered Retirement Plan Specialist,  CRPC  -  Chartered Retirement Planning Counselor,  ChFC  -  Chartered Financial Consultant,  QFC  -  Qualified Financial Consultant,  CEA  -  Certified Estate Advisor,  LUTCF  -  Life Underwriter Training Council Fellow,  CMFC  -  Chartered Mutual Fund Counselor,  State of Oregon Life & Health Insurance Licenses,  NASD Series 6, 7, 63 & 65 Licenses and LTP  -  Licensed Tax Preparer License. 

Damon also holds a professional certification in mediation, arbitration & conflict resolution as well as the Certified Life Strategies Coach designation.  He has acquired both the basic and advanced NLP (Neuro- Linguistic Programing - the study of human development) Practitioner certifications, the Certified Addictionologist Practitioner designation, Certified Sports & Performance Specialist Charter and the National Forensic Handwriting Analyst License.
